The Amphia Hospital in Breda will help with research into a new corona vaccine. These are vaccinations developed by the German CureVac.
The Breda hospital will join the UMC Utrecht, which is leading the research. In total there will be 2000 Dutch people wanted who want to be vaccinated with the new candidate vaccine.

Financial compensation
People who register as volunteers also receive financial compensation for this. Incidentally, only half of all participants actually receive the vaccine. The others receive a placebo. Those who receive the fake drug can still count on a shot with the real vaccine at the end of the study.

It is not yet clear what the research in Breda will look like exactly. From the Amphia Hospital, lung specialist Remco Djamin will be working on the project as a researcher.
