The state government of Baden-Wrttemberg adjusted the Corona regulation on Friday. In the current alarm level II, contact restrictions for vaccinated and convalescents will also apply in the future. Meetings with exclusively vaccinated or recovered people are only permitted with a maximum of 50 people indoors and with a maximum of 200 people outdoors. There is an overview of all changes here.
“With this, the state is implementing a resolution of the Conference of Prime Ministers with the Federal Government (MPK). In addition, on New Year’s Eve a gathering or lingering ban can apply in public places to be determined by the authorities. In order to avoid larger gatherings, no groups should apply there of more than 10 people come together, “says the press release. The new regulation also bans trade fairs. The revised Corona regulation will come into force on Monday, December 20th.
The most important adjustments at a glance::
- In alert level II, meetings with exclusively vaccinated or recovered people are permitted with a maximum of 50 people (indoors) or 200 people (outdoors).
- If a non-vaccinated or non-recovered person takes part, there is a restriction to one household and one person from another household.
- Persons under the age of 18 are not taken into account when determining the permitted number of persons and households.
- Private gatherings of non-vaccinated or non-recovered persons are only permitted in alert level II with members of a household and one other person.
- This does not include anyone under the age of 18.
- Groups of more than ten people are prohibited from gathering or lingering in designated public spaces on New Year’s Eve.
- Trade fairs are prohibited in alert level II.
- Access to municipal administrations: In the alarm levels, non-immunized visitors must present evidence of an antigen or PCR test. This rule only applies from January 1, 2022, the authorities can provide for exceptions.
- 17 para. 2 of the Corona Ordinance regulates the submission of an antigen or PCR test certificate for the use of physical and occupational therapy, obstetrics, speech therapy and podiatry as well as medical care and similar health-related services.
The Corona Ordinance will initially apply until January 17, 2022, but will be continuously checked and adapted to the current infection rate.

Alert level: The seven-day hospitalization incidence (number of inpatients admitted for treatment who are sick with Covid-19, per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days) reaches or exceeds 3 or from 390 Covid patients in the intensive care units.
Alert level II: Seven-day hospitalization incidence (number of inpatients admitted for treatment who are sick with Covid-19, per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days) reaches or exceeds 6 or 450 or more Covid-19 patients in intensive care units.
