New corona regulation: 3G will apply instead of incidence levels from Friday – state politics – news

Another urgent vaccination appeal

The nationwide seven-day incidence in North Rhine-Westphalia is currently 58.8 per 100,000 inhabitants. In view of the new rules, Laumann spoke of one “nice day” and one “Turning point”. At the same time, the minister and an intensive care doctor urgently called on people to be vaccinated because of the particularly contagious Delta variant.

The distance and hygiene rules should continue to apply. Anyone who wants to go to clubs or discos or take part in other dance events will need a negative one in the future as someone who has not been vaccinated or has not recovered PCR-Test. The same applies to sexual services.

Details on 3G rules

3G therefore applies to a seven-day incidence over 35 for a visit to indoor restaurants, an overnight stay in a hotel or sports in halls. The 3G rule therefore also applies to indoor events (additional hygiene concept), body-hugging services and large outdoor events from 1000 people. According to the ministry, 3G generally applies to visits to hospitals, old people’s and nursing homes – i.e. not only from a seven-day incidence of 35.

When asked which new key figure there is for the future assessment of the corona situation, Laumann said that one did not yet have a key figure. His ministry had not only looked at the seven-day incidence in the past, but also, for example, at the R-value and the occupancy of the intensive care beds.

The SPD in the state parliament welcomed the 3G rule in principle, but demanded clear criteria for the case of increasing case numbers. The state government did “no plan how to react to increasing numbers of infections in the future and according to which criteria they want to justify possible measures in concrete terms. Their actions thus remain largely non-transparent”, said the SPD MP Josef Neumann.

Mask is still mandatory

The mask requirement in retail stores as well as on buses and trains continues to apply throughout the state. The vaccination centers are to be closed as planned on September 30th. In the doctor’s offices and through offers of the municipalities such as vaccination buses, the vaccinations should continue. Laumann campaigned for 12 to 17 year olds to be vaccinated.
