New Corona Outbreak: Four Clusters, 128 Confirmed Cases, and Two Fatalities in Mie Prefecture – Reported by YOU Yokkaichi

Mie Prefecture announced on April 5 that 128 people in the prefecture (23 of whom were announced by Yokkaichi City) were infected with the new coronavirus, and two people, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 80s, died. A total of 460,486 people were infected in the prefecture, and 1,046 died.

According to the announcement, the breakdown of infected people by municipality is 23 in Yokkaichi, 16 each in Tsu and Suzuka, 12 in Kuwana, 11 in Ise, 8 in Matsusaka, 8 in Nabari, and 8 in Iga and Owase. and Taiki-cho, 5 each, Inabe-Shima, 3 each, Kisomisaki, Komono, Tamaki-cho, 2 each, Kameyama, Kumano-shi, Toin, Asahi, Taki-cho, outside the prefecture, 1 each.

The number of hospitalized patients in the prefecture increased by 2 from the previous day to 41, the number of severely ill patients remained unchanged at 0, and the bed occupancy rate was 10.1%.

In addition, from March 25th to March 31st, 4 clusters (groups of infected people) were confirmed in the prefecture. The breakdown of locations was two special nursing homes for the elderly, one each in a paid nursing home and housing for the elderly with services.
