The Ministry of Infrastructures and Mobility has awarded the new concessions for metropolitan transport. The Arriva company and the union between Alsa and Monbus have won the public tender to cover the west and east of the Coruña area. They will be those that will cover in the next ten years the new routes from A coruña to the regions of Bergantiños Y Fisterra and the councils of Oleiros, Cambre, Culleredo and Sada.
The one of Culleredo considers it essential that there be connections, with competitive frequencies, from the area with the industrial estates, with the CHUAC, with the college and schools in the city. For the mayor, José Ramón Rioboo, the transversality of the lines is essential to increase the number of users of intercity buses: “The kilometers that are used to collect a greater number of points, and from there in the main urban centers can stay in Culleredo for example to consume or go to Coruña with a free transfer: “The kilometers that are invested in traveling a greater number of points within each locality, and from there in the main urban centers citizens can stay in Culleredo for example of consuming or going to Coruña with a free transfer and having those frequencies offered by the O Burgo line and I believe that now they will also be increased on the Vilaboa lines “”
All the companies, six in total, that have attended the public tender have fifteen days to present an appeal against the resolution of the Department.
