New Commander Takes the Helm of Bern Protection and Rescue Medical Police

On Friday morning, the command was handed over to the Bern protection and rescue medical police.

The outgoing Commander Thomas Rohrbach handed over the command to Dr. medical Meinrad Lienert.

After 36 years of service, 19 of them as a division manager and commander in the medical police, Thomas Rohrbach will begin his well-deserved retirement in autumn.

dr medical Meinrad Lienert is a specialist in internal medicine FMH and has further training as an emergency doctor as well as additional business administration training. Due to his various managerial positions in the rescue service and in the hospital landscape, he has an extraordinarily large amount of experience in the field of rescue service and emergency medicine. He was able to contribute his broad knowledge to different front and management staffs.

Thomas Rohrbach will support Meinrad Lienert with his induction until he retires.

We wish Meinrad a lot of success and joy as commander of the medical police of protection and rescue Bern.
