Foreign startup Clicks released iPhone case of the same name with a built-in QWERTY keyboard. The accessory is available for owners of iPhone 14 Pro, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
The case connects to the smartphone via a cable (USB-C or Lightning). The keyboard is powered by the iPhone battery – the manufacturer promises that the device will not take up much charge during the day. The authors of the idea also say that the gadget should “feel like a natural extension” of the iPhone. The keyboard can be used in the dark, as it has a white backlight.
When you connect the case to your iPhone, the virtual keyboard will not appear and occupy half the screen when typing. It was for this feature that many people loved Blackberry smartphones.
The iPhone keyboard supports popular keyboard shortcuts. For example, Cmd + H returns to the desktop, Cmd + Q closes an application, and Spacebar can scroll through the ribbon and web pages. There are two colors to choose from: yellow and grey. The body is plastic and the interior is suede.
The main disadvantage of the accessory is that it greatly increases the size of the smartphone. Thus, the height of the iPhone 14 Pro will increase from 147 to 188 mm. The case will increase the length of any other iPhone by 42 mm.
Clicks for iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro sells for 139 dollars (13,000 rubles). The version for iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max can be reserved for $30, it will cost $159 and will be released in spring 2024.
