The new movie Happy Family 2, the sequel to the 2017 animated movie Happy Family, opens today in Germany. Amusement park fans will meet the characters of Europa-Park and Phantasialand.
The Happy Family films are produced by MackMedia, a sister company to Europa-Park and creator of Mack Rides attractions. The Europa-Park 4D cinema had already screened a short film Happy Family in 2016. Characters from the film also appear in Europa Park’s haunted house, Geisterschloss.

Additionally, three bats from Happy Family productions have since 2019 taken control of Phantasialand’s Crazy Bats indoor roller coaster, formerly the Temple of the Nighthawk.

The new feature film Happy Family was released last month in the United States, Mexico and Spain under the name Monster Family 2. Starting today, the film will be screened in Germany. Russia, Denmark, Hungary, Sweden and Portugal will follow in the coming months. At the moment, the film will not be screened in the Netherlands.
The story is the story of a family whose members get goose bumps: a vampire, a werewolf, a mummy and a Frankenstein monster. In Part Two, they come face-to-face with monster slayer Mila Star. Direction is once again in the hands of Holger Tappe, who has also directed other 4D films for Europa-Park.
