Already last year it became clear that a second Chinese carmaker was preparing to enter our market. After Great Wall, long sold to Bulgaria, another major Chinese producer, Dongfeng, is now on the move. The cars are now officially available on the Bulgarian market and our team had the opportunity to do the first tests of these new models for Bulgaria (expect a detailed review early next week).
Dongfeng enters the domestic market with four models: the IX5 crossover coupe, the seven-seat Glory 580, the electric E3 and the lightweight K01H Banitsa. Yes, this is no joke, the “Chinese dumpling” is called exactly that. In addition to the name, this model also impresses with its price: 29,900 BGN including VAT, which makes it the cheapest light truck in our country.
Banitsa is available with a 91 HP petrol engine, rear wheel drive, spring suspension and an AGU option, which is installed in our country and costs BGN 3,000. Also interesting is the price of the seven-seater Glory 580 which, if registered for a company, can lower its price by 20% and with VAT is BGN 54,600. Expect more about Dongfeng’s new Chinese models, which will be available in our country, in the coming days.
The official Dongfeng automobile importer in our country is “Auto Union” JSC, which has an official contract for the sale and technical assistance of the aforementioned cars, which will offer Chinese production and related services through its subsidiary company ” Chinese car company “JSC.
