Berlin/Frankfurt – The summer invites you to Travel a! Deutsche Bahn has also recognized this and is releasing a whole range of new cheap tickets.

As reported by Deutsche Bahn on Wednesday, it is possible in June and July to travel on express trains from EUR 7.40.
Anyone who wants to avoid the madness of overcrowded regional trains (S, RB, RE) can book discounted tickets for InterCity and InterCityExpress trains (IC and ICE) from Sunday to July 31st.
However, there is a catch: the cheap tickets are only valid for short distances. Deutsche Bahn cites Cologne-Düsseldorf, Hamburg-Bremen, Dresden-Leipzig and Augsburg-Munich as examples.

Normally, these cheap tickets should be available for 9.90 euros. But with the BahnCard 25 and 50 discount, customers get the even cheaper price of 7.40 euros.
Some of the tickets are therefore even cheaper than single tickets in local transport.
More than one million special tickets for 2nd class will be on offer between June 11 and July 31. You can go any way (bahn.de“DB Navigator” app and travel centers in the stations).
