New charging facility in place in Gjøvik

Circle K is the first to launch Autocharge widely throughout Scandinavia.

– Our motivation is to make it as easy and seamless as possible to drive an electric car. Some think charging can be cumbersome and complicated. With Autocharge, everything goes by itself, says Anders Kleve Svela, who heads the E-Mobility unit in Circle K Norway in a press release.

About 14,000 electric cars are currently rolling on the road in the Oppland area, according to figures from the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association.

– We now offer Autocharge at the stations Circle K E6 Vinstra, Circle K Kallerud, Circle K Mjøsstranda, Circle K Strandtorget and Circle K Vågå. About 90 per cent of our fast and lightning chargers support Autocharge, and the remaining chargers will be replaced on an ongoing basis, he says.

He has great faith that Autocharge will be a great success across the country. A beta version has already been tested in Sweden.

– The test demonstrated that the solution works brilliantly, and that it gives customers a seamless and efficient charging experience. The earliest testers gave Autocharge grades between 9.2 and 9.8 on a scale from 1 to 10. That is extremely good, and makes me have full faith that customers in this country will also appreciate the offer, says Kleve Svela.
