Now, when determining the minimum volumes of annual ordered capacity, only the functioning, unsealed gas equipment of a household consumer will be taken into account.
As an example, a change in the payment for the distribution of natural gas for a residential consumer with integrated consumption in the Chernivtsi region with sealed equipment (heater and water heater) and minimum volumes of consumption in the previous gas year is given.
The corresponding decision was made at an open meeting of NEURC, which took place on September 12, 2023. These changes help reduce the financial burden on household consumers, whose consumption was at a minimum level during the previous gas year.
Thus, in the previous year, these customers paid for a minimum consumption amount of 314 cubic meters of gas per year. Now, as a result of the changes, they will pay only 39 cubic meters of gas per year.
Thus, the savings for this example will be 45.6 UAH per month and 547.25 UAH per year.
It is noted that each gas distribution company will independently determine the minimum payment for housing that does not use or partially does not use gas.
According to the law, even if the consumer has not used gas for a year, but is connected to the pipe, he must still pay for the delivery service. In order not to pay, the pipe must be completely cut off, this fact documented and the documents submitted to your regional gas authority.
For consumers with zero consumption, as well as for those who have used gas for less than 9 months, NEURC introduced a minimum payment for gas delivery. It is this payment that will be revised from October 1, so that Ukrainians can pay delivery for the actual amount of gas consumed.
