PRAGUE. The twelfth and at the same time the main match of the whole tournament was key for the semi-heavy division.
The top of Oktagon 28 in the O2 Universum arena in Prague brought the premiere competition for a title in the weight category up to 93 kilograms.
Viktor Pest’s home team and German fighter Stephan P competed for the inaugural Oktagon MMA belt in this weight.ütz.

Pest’s chance
He has been one of the top domestic players for a long time, but he was still waiting for the first big title.
Although Pest got into the UFC at a young age, where he fought several well-known names, but in the competition of the world’s elite, it turned out that he simply lacked experience.

Because of this, he lost an excellent match with Derrick Lewis, the later title challenger in the UFC. These experiences helped him into the next part of his career.

He settled in the prestigious American Sanford MMA team and signed a contract with the Octagon MMA. He set a clear goal in the organization, namely to obtain a degree.
His first attempt failed, he suffered a broken jaw in the match two years ago and lost to the then heavyweight champion Michal Martínek. He then switched to a lower weight, which should fit him better.
This was confirmed and Pest earned a title match with a pair of finishes before the limit. He was finally able to reach the first prestigious belt to silence critics, including rival Carlos Vémol.
He grinds Vémol’s teeth on the title
Vémola often blamed him for failing at key moments. “I don’t care about Pest. I will only be interested in the moment when he has the belt, “said Vémola.
However, even in the second corner, compared to Pest, there was no innocence, on the contrary. In fact, Pest met the Terminator, albeit the German one.

Putz has already won M-1 Global or GMC belts in his career. He is used to fighting for European titles and had something in common with Pest before the match.
Both actors of Saturday’s title duel have been arguing with Carlos Vémol for years. Putz long ago sent calls to the Czech Republic to prove that there is only one real “Terminator” in Europe, as his nickname says. We have already mentioned Pest’s story.
In addition to the belt, the winner could finally make it to the duel with Carlos Vémol. He currently has a busy schedule, but has often expressed a desire for a second title.

1. round
