New Cervantes Theater Programming for January-March 2024: Highlights Include El Comandante Lara, La Celestina, and Aladín, “un musical genial” from Trencadís

From January to March you can enjoy 13 shows with highlights such as El Comandante Lara, La Celestina with the well-known actress Anabel Alonso or Aladín, “un musical genial” from the Trencadís company

This morning the Councilor for Culture, Fernando Portillo, presented the new programming of the Cervantes Theater for the first months of 2024, emphasizing that “We continue to bet on companies at a national level, we continue to bet on humor and we continue to bet
for keeping the artist and the local company in the programming”.

With this clear commitment, in the cultural horizon of the first months of 2024, the Cervantes Theater will host a total of 13 shows, from January to March. The councilor recalled, in reference to the programming for the first half of the year, that “In Petrer it is usually shortened due to all the festivities, proclamations and so on. And, as Holy Week comes early, this year
It will still be a little more condensed in time”.

Portillo has encouraged, on these Christmas dates, “in which many times we do not know what to give, give theater, because giving experiences to our loved ones is the best possible gift”. To this end, as of this morning, tickets for the different shows can now be purchased through the page. The councilor recalled that, in Petrer, “culture is not seen, it is lived”.

The programming will start on Sunday, January 21 with the new show, “Travel with us”, by Commander Lara y Cía. On Sunday, January 28, it will be time for one of the local proposals, “The comedy of lies”, from Taules Teatre, with the participation of
local artists César Garijo and Chris Ranchal.

On Saturday, February 3, the Cervantes Theater will be filled with magic and illusion by Petrer’s magician Adrián Carratalá and Katerina, with his new show Kairós. One day later, on Sunday, February 4, Josele, an actor known for his participation in the film Campeones, will return to the stage of the Petrer theater, this time for the show DosCapacitados, in which he is accompanied by Edu Luki .

Thursday, February 8 will also be a time for humor, with The Max Marieges Show.

The program also includes dance proposals, in this case by the Maduixa Company, a benchmark in the Valencian Community, which will stage Lú, on Sunday, February 11. The councilor recalled that “We already had it in El Campet Park several years ago” and explained that it is “a special show in which both the artists and the audience share the stage to see the show up close”. There will be two sessions with limited capacity.

On Saturday, February 24, as the culmination of a tour that “has taken them through so many towns and has made them win many awards”, Sense Barreres Teatro will return to Petrer with El Crimen Perfecto. On Sunday, February 25, family audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy Aladín, a brilliant musical by the Trendacís company, which has had more than 150 performances throughout the country.

Already in the month of March, on Friday the 1st, the local music band, Leo Falcone Band, with several artists from Petrer, will offer a Latin rock concert. On Saturday the 2nd, it will be time for a new children’s show, Benvingut Mr. Hodgkin, by the Desbaratats company, “last work of local actor José Luis Beltrán”.

A week later, on Saturday, March 9, in collaboration with the Department of Equality and Social Services to celebrate Women’s Day, Gordas will be staged. On Sunday, March 10, another children’s show, this time in Valencian, Akäshia, el viatge de la llum, by Cau de l’unicorn.
