New CEO for Lausanne-Sport | Soccer Super League

SUPER LEAGUE ⋅ Lausanne-Sport gets a new strong man. Dutchman Leen Heemskerk succeeds Bob Ratcliffe as CEO of the bottom team in the Super League.

As the Vaud people announced in a communiqué, Heemkerk’s first task will be to look for a coach and form a powerful team for the next season. Lausanne-Sport should no longer be able to avert relegation to the Challenge League. With four laps to go, the team coached by Alain Casanova is ten points behind Lucerne.

The club also announced that the management of Ligue 1 club Nice and Lausanne-Sport, both owned by Ineos, will be split to allow the two clubs to focus on their respective leagues. Ineos wants to continue to fully support Lausanne-Sport despite the threat of relegation. (sda)
