SAN DIEGO- At least 24 people in San Diego have been diagnosed with the most contagious new variant of the coronavirus, authorities said Tuesday, who also believe there were four additional probable cases.
The first case in San Diego, which was also the first in California, was reported early last week by local officials.
Since then, San Diego authorities have confirmed three other cases. Cases have also been detected in Colorado, Florida and New York.
The latest cases occurred in San Diego, Chula Vista and Lakeside, according to the county, and span a wide range of ages, including four children under the age of 10.
