Molde, Hustadvika and Vestnes municipalities have all sent out press releases about new cases of coronavirus during Easter Eve and the first day of Easter.
Nine in total in Vestnes
On Saturday night, the municipality reported four new cases of infection; two permanent residents and two in the entry quarantine on VARD’s barracks rig on Trohaugen. On Sunday, five more cases of coronavirus were registered in Vestnes.
The five are all close contacts of the residents who were reported infected on Saturday night. Infection detection is ongoing, and no one has been able to detect any of the mutated variants of the virus, the municipality writes in a press release on Sunday night.
A new one in Molde
The infected person has tested positive after returning home from a trip abroad. The person in question has been placed in isolation, and two close contacts have been quarantined. They will be tested, the municipality writes.
The municipality is so far not aware of whether this is a mutated virus variant or not.
So far this year, 62 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Molde.
The test station at Nøisomhed has been open some of the days this Easter. A total of 135 people have tested themselves during the Easter weekend.
Two more in Hustadvika
Late Saturday night, the municipality reported two new cases of coronavirus. On Sunday evening, two more had been registered.
The Saturday cases are not related to each other, but the two cases that were registered on Sunday are related to the cases from Saturday.
The two have been abroad, and report that they have no symptoms. Both were already in quarantine and are now in solitary confinement. Other family members and close contacts have been quarantined, the municipality writes.
14 in the Romsdal region in one day
In other words, 14 new cases of infection have been registered in the Romsdal region in the last 24 hours; distributed in Molde, Hustadvika and Vestnes municipality; relatively one, four and nine people with detected coronary heart disease.
