New car registrations drop to lowest since 1995

German luxury car maker BMW was the most popular car brand in Belgium in 2022. With 38,011 new passenger car registrations, BMW had a market share of 10.38%. In second place is Volkswagen (32,061 registrations), followed by Mercedes (29,283 registrations), Peugeot (29,140 registrations) and Audi (26,253 registrations). Both BMW and Volkswagen and Audi had fewer new registrations than last year. Mercedes and Peugeot saw increases, as did Toyata, Dacia, Kia, Mini and Tesla.
