Father Jean-Pierre Cornic, parish priest of Sainte Jeanne d’Arc in Beauce, and Father Michel Boisabert, parish priest of Saint Martin de Beauce, are the new canons at the Chapter of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Chartres .
On Friday, in the cathedral, Monsignor Christory presided over the celebration organized for these two priests of the diocese. The Bishop of Chartres, surrounded by several canons and priests of the diocese, greeted “two faithful collaborators of the Church of Eure-et-Loir, two experienced priests, two men of prayer and heart”.
Father Blondeau, rector of the cathedral and vice-dean of the chapter, specified: “The Chapter dates back more than 1,000 years, he had the cathedral built, contributed to its upkeep and animated it. »
The new canons received the specific cross of their mission which is to pray for the intentions of the diocesan Church. Many faithful of the diocese had moved to surround the two new canons.
