The size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been a hot topic since before the game was launched in 2019. At most, the game required well over 200 GB of space, and now Activision has confirmed that the shooter series’ next feature will be even bigger.
Via their websites tells the publisher that at least 250 GB is needed to accommodate the entire PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has to offer. It includes all modes and the optional package of extra glossy textures for those playing in 4K resolution.
Unlike Modern Warfare however, it seems that already at launch you can opt out of modes you do not use. For those who only want the multiplayer part, the game requires only 50 GB, ie without the 4K package.
In other PC news, Activision has announced several platform-specific settings for Black Ops Cold War. In addition to 4K resolution, support for unlimited frame rates, ray-tracing, ultra-wide screens and a bunch of adjustment options for both audio and video are promised.
Activision has otherwise gathered various PC requirements for the game in a nice table, which you can see through in the picture on the right side of the article. The trailer in the video window at the top should also give an indication of what the PC version can perform.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War slippes 13. november for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One og Xbox Series X/S.
