New business owner in the city pharmacy in Diessenhofen

Diessenhofen

After Ernst and Béatrice Alder worked for 40 years, the new managing director of the city pharmacy Rhea Goldmann speaks about corona and vaccinations

There is a new face in the management of the Stadtapotheke Diessenhofen with Rhea Goldmann. Since this week, corona vaccinations have also been possible in the town.

Since this week there have also been vaccinations against Corona in the Diessenhofen city pharmacy. “The vaccination campaign got off to a very good start,” says managing director Rhea Goldmann. “We ordered 50 doses of vaccination, and they were vaccinated so quickly that we will order another 50 doses next week,” explains the pharmacist. Because for many people willing to vaccinate, the way to Weinfelden after the closure of the Frauenfeld vaccination center is too far or too cumbersome.

In general, Goldmann noted a good atmosphere and also gratitude among those who were vaccinated. Of course, there are also people who rumored a certain “indirect coercion”, but their frustration is limited. Unfortunately, since there was a lot of misinformation circulating, a certain fear was noticeable in some. It is interesting to observe a certain group dynamic. For example, if a Portuguese vegetable worker gets vaccinated, several colleagues will follow suit.

Personnel situation is slowly returning to normal

Rhea Goldmann and her team of 15 – many of them part-time – faced major challenges due to the pandemic. These could only be mastered thanks to the additional benefits of their employees. The rush for the tests was unusually large, especially at the start of the holiday. Now the situation has calmed down again.

Managing director Rhea Goldmann has been running the city pharmacy since the beginning of the year. She completed her training in the train station pharmacy in Winterthur. After studying pharmacy at the ETH Zurich, she also worked for a year in the Bachtel pharmacy in Winterthur. Goldmann says:

“When the opportunity arose for me to manage the Diessenhofen City Pharmacy, I immediately seized the opportunity.”

Her predecessors, Ernst and Béatrice Alder, ran the city pharmacy for 40 years and were very much appreciated by the locals. “I also feel that customers are happy not to have to go to the distant city for advice and certain remedies,” says Goldmann. She draws a positive balance after the first six months. A steadily increasing clientele can be observed, staff could be increased from August.
