A new black record was set by the statistics of Bulgarians suffering from coronavirus. In the last 24 hours, another 11,181 have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the Unified Information Portal said. This is 1185 people more than the previous day.
The tests performed were 45,956, which means that the percentage of new infections also increased to 24.3. 91 people died.
78.04% of newly infected have not been vaccinated, and 92.31% of those who lost the battle with the coronavirus without vaccines.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of infected in Bulgaria is 841,785 people, of whom 639,352 were cured and 32,338 died. The active cases are 170,095.
5259 Bulgarians are in hospital. 554 of them are in the intensive care unit. The newly hospitalized for the last 24 hours are 660 – 84.39% have not been vaccinated.
The total doses of the permitted preparations are 4,039,684, and yesterday they were 18,990. The number of Bulgarians with a completed vaccination course is just under 2 million – 1,967,200, and 527,042 with booster doses.
The highest number of newly infected people is in Sofia – 3320.
