TUTTLINGEN — The city administration of Tuttlingen is renovating the bicycle parking facilities in the city area with high-quality, contemporary bicycle stands with a roof.
The background is an increase in capacity and an increase in the quality of the parking facilities. In contrast to the existing brackets, the bicycle brackets fix the bike so that it cannot fall over and the high/low positioning means that more bikes can be parked and parked more easily.
The bicycle racks in the inner courtyard of the town hall and at some of the side entrances to the pedestrian zone have already been renewed. The replaced bike racks will be used in other locations around the city, such as the SC04 stadium. At the Hermann-Hesse secondary school, a new roof was realized for some of the existing bicycle parking spaces.
Another 80 or so bicycle parking facilities will be installed in all elementary schools with outdated and without bicycle racks in the autumn.
A funding application has been submitted for the grammar schools, which will significantly expand the bicycle parking spaces. Of these, 116 are covered, and a total of 338 covered bicycle parking spaces will then be available at the grammar schools. The realization of the bicycle parking facilities will be carried out in the course of the outdoor facilities of the high schools over the course of the next year
