Apple’s servers are going to heat up again tonight! Indeed, Cupertino is offering a nice mix of its current betas for download. On the program, we find beta 2 of iOS 18.1 (only for iPhone 15 pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max) and beta 6 for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 and visionOS 2.

All developers registered -even those with only a free account- can therefore embark on the adventure and install at their own risk the beta versions of the systems presented at WWDC 2024.
Be careful though, like all test versions, these are not really very stable. On the other hand, they are very energy-hungry and full of bugs (just fun, we tell you!) For the more adventurous, don’t forget to make a backup before starting anything! Please note that you will have to wait on a waiting list before being able to access it!
A more comprehensive message from Apple regarding AI!
This time, Apple wants to be more complete in terms of the download note for the beta, which takes up two screens on the iPhone. The latter is in French and not in English (US). It uses the famous instructions that are circulating everywhere: register on the waiting list, switch your device language and Siri language settings to English (US), set your region to United States.
Just below she adds that the Apple Intelligence functions are only available for the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but above all that Apple Intelligence is not available in the EU and China at the moment. In the meantime, however, these features are available on macOS 15.1 for the reasons explained here.

What functions are currently available?
The first wave of rollouts is expected to include some Messages AI options (like Genmojis), Image Playgroundwriting enhancement tools, Math Notes. In a second phase, improvements to Mail, Home or visionOS would arrive.
For the second wave, it would be necessary wait until spring 2025 (almost a year between the presentation and the launch, unless there is a surprise postponement from Apple, which is not excluded…) to benefit from the new intelligent Siri, with or without ChatGPTThe full release is not expected to arrive until iOS 18.4, after a beta testing period that is expected to begin in January 2025.
As a reminder, this much more powerful version will allow the voice assistant to control the different actions in the applications, to better understand what is currently on the screen, or to determine what to do depending on the context.
In any case, European developers are being punished for not getting two new features anytime soon : iPhone mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing. The firm announced their postponement for non-compliance with the DMA, as did Apple Intelligence.
