From today, December 1, the ban on the movement of old cars in the center of Sofia comes into force.
It concerns cars that are over 20 years old. According to data from the Metropolitan Municipality, there are about 50,000 such vehicles.

The ban is in place until the end of February and aims to keep the air in the heart of the city cleaner. The fine for violation will be from BGN 50 to BGN 500. For the first offence, it will not be imposed, but after that there will be a penalty. Those living in the center of the capital who have a blue parking ticket are excluded from the new rules.
