IGN published an interesting documentary dedicated to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and how developers from Ubisoft approached the ambitious project of a canonical tie-in to the story told in the film saga.
Coming December 7th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora tells the story of a Na’vi orphan who was raised inside a human RDA structure along with some companions and who, due to a series of events, is forced to remain in stasis for fifteen years.
When he awakens, everything has changed, so he flees the outpost, but finds that he has to gain the trust of people he never really knew in order to face Earth’s forces again, intent on exploiting Pandora’s resources.
The IGN documentary shows some of the most important locations that we will have the opportunity to visit during the story campaign of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, as well as the characters and clans that we will have to deal with in an attempt to form a common front against the RDA.
The developers explain in the video the work done to qualitatively adapt this content to the Avatar universe and the films of James Cameron, which, obviously, represented an absolute benchmark on the stylistic and philosophical front.
