Chelsea FC was unable to close its construction site in the storm center in the last transfer window and is therefore still looking for a nine-man. A potential new signing is Bayern shock Jhon Duran, in whom the Blues were already interested in the summer and last winter.
Jhon Duran is only second choice at Aston Villa and usually has to be content with the role of the joker in the duel with Ollie Watkins. His tally of six goals in nine games is still more than acceptable, which is why he must have impressed Villa coach Unai Emery quite a bit. However, Duran’s achievements have not gone unnoticed by other clubs.
As TEAMtalk reports, Chelsea FC continues to show interest in signing the 20-year-old. The Blues had already been interested in him in the last two transfer periods, but Villa vetoed him and didn’t let Duran go. West Ham United also wanted to lure the Colombian from Birmingham to London – also without success.
According to the report, in January Chelsea will start a new attempt to close the open construction site in the storm center. The London club was already working hard to sign a real nine-man in the summer. However, according to TEAMtalk, the prospects of a Duran transfer in January are not particularly high.
Duran’s uncle hopes for a move to Real
Accordingly, Emery doesn’t want to give up the youngster under any circumstances, especially not in the middle of the season. While a transfer fee of between 40 and 50 million euros was discussed in the summer, Duran now has a price tag of 95 million euros, it is said. It is also questionable whether the Colombian international is interested in a move within England.
Most recently, his uncle explained that his nephew’s next move would ideally be to Real Madrid. Duran’s contract with Villa runs until 2028 anyway, so the Premier League club has no pressure to sell.
