New Asus ZenBook Duo 2024: Two Large Screens, Specs, and Usage Modes

Asus revealed the new generation of its laptops, the Asus ZenBook Duo laptop, which this year comes with two large screens, instead of one large and one small above the keyboard as in the previous generation, aiming to compete directly with the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i laptop. .

Asus started a series of laptops with two screens since 2021, and it was a large screen and a small one in a rectangular shape below the large one, and this year there is a big change, as the device was manufactured with two large screens.

During its participation in the CES 2024 exhibition, the company displayed the new ZenBook Duo, which is a laptop that contains two equal 14-inch screens, both of the OLED type, with a resolution of up to 2880 x 1800 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and a refresh rate of up to 2880 x 1800 pixels. Up to 120 Hz.

When the two displays work together, the user can get 19.8 inches of content viewing dimensions in total, which can be viewed in portrait or landscape mode due to the possibility of detaching the keyboard.

When the keyboard is detached, the ASUS ZenBook Duo offers the ability to type on the lower touchscreen via a virtual keyboard or using a detachable physical Bluetooth keyboard.

Asus envisions options for the new Zenbook Duo usage modes: there’s a regular laptop mode, where the entire bottom screen is covered by the keyboard, or the keyboard could be placed on a desk and the two screens arranged vertically for dual-display mode, or horizontally for desktop mode.

There’s also a Share mode where you ditch the keyboard entirely and place the laptop on a flat surface with the two screens facing up and away from each other, so you can share your work with a colleague sitting across the desk from you.

Naturally, the Asus ZenBook Duo laptop will be available with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of storage, and a 75-watt battery.

In terms of connectivity, the device has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI output, and a 3.5mm headphones jack, and the laptop can be used with the Asus Pen.

The Bluetooth keyboard is designed to be carried between the two displays when the laptop is not in use and can be charged by plugging it into the pogo pins located on the edges of the lower screen.
