New Asus ZenBook 14 OLED with Intel’s Latest Processors and AI Chip

  • The new laptop from Asus got new processors from Intel under the hood
  • Their main innovation is their own chip for artificial intelligence
  • ZenBook 14 OLED also impresses with other equipment, especially the number of connectors

Yesterday, Intel introduced new processors of the Meteor Lake family, which, thanks to a dedicated neural unit for accelerating AI operations, are ready for the new generation of laptops. New processors from Intel found their way into the Asus ZenBook 14 OLED notebook, which impresses not only with its high performance, but also with other parameters.

Asus ZenBook 14 OLED: perfect equipment in an elegant body

The presented novelty is the first of the new computers that Asus plans to present in January at the CES fair. This is a very nice swallow that will please mobile users in particular – it weighs only 1.2 kg and has a waist of 14.9 mm. These are not bad values at all for a 14″ laptop, especially if we consider the overall equipment.

Asus has taken great care in the design of its new computer. Not only did he use recycled materials in the manufacturing and packaging, but he was also able to ensure his computer increased durability in five test procedures. One of them is high temperature resistance, ZenBook can operate in temperatures from -51 to 71°C. The body of the notebook is aluminum and will be offered in two color variants – silver and blue.

The ZenBook 14 OLED was equipped with a 14″ OLED screen with a 3K resolution (2,880 × 1,800 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Although the display is not surrounded by ultra-thin frames like the competition (the display takes up 87 percent of the front surface), the computer will instead be pleased with the presence of an infrared camera with support for the Windows Hello function.

Artificial intelligence in the main role

The novelty is powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 processors with its own Intel Arc graphics chip and a dedicated neural unit. Asus has not yet boasted what use it has for it, we assume that its potential will be unlocked only in the next version of Windows scheduled for next year. If there’s anything truly admirable about this computer, it’s the port pool. While other manufacturers put a couple of USB-C ports in their machines and you have to buy a hub for the rest, on the body of the ZenBook 14 OLED you will find:

  • Two USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4)
  • USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1)
  • HDMI 2.1
  • 3.5mm headphone port

The only thing missing is a memory card reader. The computer has an integrated 75Wh battery, which should keep the computer alive for up to 15 hours, and there is also a speaker set with Dolby Atmos certification.

Price and availability

The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED is already available in the US, it will arrive in Europe in the first quarter of next year. The following two variants will be sold in the Czech Republic from January next year:

  • s Core Ultra 7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 32,490 1TB SSD
  • s Core Ultra 9 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 34,490 1TB SSD
