This Friday, March 3 at the Norbert Zongo National Press Center, a press conference was held, organized by the Senegalese rapper, Didier Awadi. Objective, to present his new artistic project entitled “When we refuse, we say no”.
Didier Awadi or simply Awadi, is a committed Senegalese rapper. After five years of not releasing an album, he decides to release a new project with added value. “This project is not only a film project, but also a music project”, said the artist.
“When you say no, you refuse”, is the title of this new project. Composed of twelve tracks, this album is an artistic masterpiece. It is a work that cheerfully shakes consciences. The author builds his revolutionary speech around a pleasant poetry. Awadi says he was inspired by the book by writer Amadou Kourouma. “What is happening here, like in Mali, Guinea, Senegal, inspired me a lot. It was after reading the wonderful book by Amadou Kourouma that I wanted to take this title to express a little what is happening in the sub-region. says the artist.
For him, it was important to come and present this project in Ouagadougou. “We must clearly banish the exploitation of man by man. Abuse, racism and slavery, we really have to banish them. If people don’t understand our pain, they won’t respect us. Suffering is universal. It has no color or race, it can be felt by all humans, whether black or white. he added.
