New Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira claims ‘every manager’s dream player’

Vieira’s creativity in attack is said by his former coach to be a solution for the Gunners when they experience a deadlock and frustration through the opponent’s defense.

Arsenal have secured the sign of Fabio Vieira, the midfielder who former Porto youth coach Manuel Tulipa claims is “every manager’s dream player”.

Vieira enjoyed a prolific 2021/22 Portuguese Primeira Liga season. The 22-year-old midfielder scored six goals and created his team with 14 assist!

The Gunners redeem Vieira from Porto for £ 30 million plus a bonus clause of £ 4.2 million. The transfer which Tulipa said was the right deal for all parties.

“Players like Fabio are going to be of great value, so if you can pick him up before he really does, why not? That’s smart business,” Tulipa told reporters. BBC SportTuesday (21/6).

“He is a creative midfielder who comes up with solutions when you are frustrated during the game. He has vision, he can see what’s going on around him and anticipate what will happen.”

“It’s a dream for every manager and the kind of footballer that clubs are always after.”

“He has all the skills, he can dribble, combine, slow the tempo, break into the opponent’s box, score goals. Players like this have to be close to the goal.”

“However, one thing he needs to improve on is his off-ball performance, but he’s been better at that over the last few months.”

“He has developed into a more collective athlete under [arahan pelatih Porto, Sergio] Conceicao and find the right balance in the various moments of the game.”
