New Arechi, the project changes

Works for 86 million euros to be completed in 540 days: this is the time that will be needed to change everything and revolutionize the Arechi Stadium. After an infinite wait, yesterday the Campania Region through Arusthe regional sports agency that is taking care of the intervention, has – finally – launched the most awaited tender in Salerno, the one for the restyling of the most important sports facility in Salerno.

The economic operators interested parties will have until 12 noon on October 1st to submit their offer: the framework agreement will be awarded based on the most economically advantageous offer criterion with respect to the amount of 103 million euro tender which the Region has “set aside” from the Pr Fesr 2021/2027 funds.

Of these, 86 million will be invested in the restyling of the “prince of the stadiums” (the rest will be used for the reconversion of the Volpe). Arus, following the governor’s diktat Vincenzo DeLucaplans to proceed with the award by the end of 2024, so as to start the first interventions with the new year: a real sprint will be needed. And the works will also have to be very fast: to turn Salernitana’s home inside out, in fact, there will be “only” 540 days available. The work will proceed in sectors and will start from North Curve so as to simultaneously complete the transformation of the Volpe.
