Apple revealed a vibrant addition to its Watch Series 9 lineup with the introduction of a red color option, coinciding with World HIV Day.
The watch features a red aluminum casing with a red sports strap, and is powered by the new S9 SiP processor. The Watch Series 9 features health, fitness and safety capabilities, in addition to the new double-click gesture and the Precision Finding feature for the iPhone.
The new Palette and Solar Analog watch faces are also available in red, joining Metropolitan, World Time, Numerals Mono, Gradient, Stripes and Typograph in a group of watch faces dedicated to celebrating World HIV Day.
Also, (RED) products, including the Watch Series 9, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE, and accessories, including a silicone case with MagSafe for the entire iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 collections, are available for order through physical stores and the company’s online store.
Since 2006, the company has entered into a partnership with the (RED) organization in order to support the Global Fund to Fight HIV.
The company shows its commitment to the cause by directing proceeds from select in-app purchases, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Global Fund when customers purchase (RED) products.
The Global Fund uses 100 percent of Apple’s contribution to finance programs to combat HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.
