The duly filed signal will be basis for conducting a check for the existence of data on corruption or conflict of interest.
The inspection will be carried out within 90 days of receiving the signal, with the possibility of extending the period once, but only by a month. Anyone who has filed a report will have to be notified of the results of the investigation and the decision.
The Parliament is in extraordinary session, the deputies started work on the new Anti-Corruption Law
The originally intended possibility of signal to accept and publication in the media met the sharp objection of ITN and “Vazrazhdane”. The MP from “Vazrazhdane” Tsveta
Rangelova motivated the request to drop this option:
“Can you imagine how easy it is to be an object of an investigation on such a signal from an electronic media from Kaspichan, behind which it will never be understood who is behind”.
The majority voted for the final provision in the law that, in the performance of their official duties, the bodies of the Commission may use physical force and auxiliary means only when this is absolutely necessary under the conditions and in accordance with the law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
