The American channel unveils its new program schedule for the 2021/2022 season. In addition to the return of its flagship franchises like “New York”, “Chicago Fire” and their spin-offs are added two new products: “La Brea” and “Ordinary Joe”.
New start, new programs: like every summer, NBC unveils the broadcast date of its drama series for the next school year!
While the new seasons of Chicago Fire and its spin-offs Chicago PD and Chicago Med keep the Wednesday slot, Blacklist season 9 moves from Friday to replace Law & Order: For the Defense.. Previously announced by the channel, this spinoff series from New York: Special Unit will ultimately not be produced to make way for another spin-off in development, reports the site Deadline.
This year, two new drama series join the NBC grid. Ordinary Joe, created by Russel Friend et Garrett Lerner (writers on Dr House), follows the journey of Joe Kimbrough (James Wolk) a man at a crossroads in his life and facing a crucial choice; he will then discover the different consequences available to him according to each decision he could take.
Another novelty in this fall, La Brea, a science fiction thriller by David Appelbaum (Mentalist) plunges us into full chaos at Los Angeles, as a mysterious chasm opens beneath the city. A family is then split in two: while Gavin Harris (Eoin Macken) and his daughter find themselves stranded in a primitive world, his wife Eve (Natalie Zea) and their son desperately try to find them.
