To reinforce the cultural change and actions necessary for effective waste management, The agreement was signed between the Under Secretary of Learning Management, of which the Green Schools Program is a part, with Delterra, an international organization specialized in environmental solutions. he is The aim of this statement is to establish a framework of cooperation and mutual support between the two parties regarding the comprehensive management of municipal solid waste.which promotes the exchange, performance and implementation of activities and projects related to the separation at source and recycling of waste, the management of organic waste and the promotion of compost, and the evaluation of the different fractions of waste, to the circular economy in the field of education in Baile Autonomy of Buenos Aires.
This agreement is designed in the Law No. 2544approved in 2007, which regulates the separation of waste in educational institutions. From the Green Schools encouraging the implementation of the comprehensive waste management plan in schoolsjoins educational institutions and focuses on the concepts of responsible consumption, reduction, reuse and recycling of waste; in line with the cultural change that the City Government has been promoting for years.
Delterra is an independent, non-profit environmental organization with a mission the transformation of entire ecosystems by addressing waste management and recycling. They work in collaboration with change agents from the public, private and social sectors to understand challenges and solve them together.
