Weinstein was one of Hollywood’s foremost film producers for years, but is now serving a 23-year jail term near Buffalo. He was convicted in New York in early 2020 for rape and sexual assault.
In addition to this conviction, six additional complaints have now been lodged. Weinstein allegedly raped a woman in a hotel room sometime between September 2004 and September 2005. He would also have raped the same woman twice between November 2009 and November 2010. Those facts would have taken place in Beverly Hills.
In addition to the case in New York, Weinstein was already awaiting another lawsuit in Los Angeles. There he has to answer for two alleged facts that occurred within a time span of two days in 2013. It concerns the suspected rape of an actress and the suspected sexual assault of a model. Weinstein would have forced the model in a hotel room to watch him masturbate. On December 11, Weinstein learns whether he will be extradited to Los Angeles. Similar allegations are also being investigated in London, but there has not yet been a lawsuit.
