New Abuse Allegations Surface Against Actor Jonathan Majors
In a shocking turn of events, two women have come forward with new abuse allegations against actor Jonathan Majors. The lawyer did not provide further comment when approached by The Hollywood Reporter.
These new revelations come just two months after Majors was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment stemming from an incident in March 2023 involving his ex-partner Grace Jabbari. Jabbari testified that Majors injured her during an argument over a text suggesting infidelity. The charges carry a potential sentence of up to one year in prison, and the sentencing has been delayed to April 8.
The women involved in these allegations shared their experiences of feeling trapped and alone during their relationships with Majors. Duncan, who was engaged to the actor from 2015 to 2019, mentioned that Majors initially showered her with romantic gestures before turning physically or emotionally violent. In a statement submitted during the pretrial of Majors’ domestic violence trial, Duncan alleged that he threatened to strangle and kill her in 2016. She also claimed that he physically assaulted her on multiple occasions.
Hooper’s relationship with Majors overlapped with Duncan’s, although neither woman was aware of it at the time. Hooper stated that she was not allowed to speak to anyone about their relationship, which isolated her from her support system. She also recalled a traumatic incident where Majors refused to pick her up from a clinic after an abortion, leaving her feeling trapped and alone.
Furthermore, both women claimed that Majors repeatedly threatened to kill himself throughout their relationships. These allegations paint a disturbing picture of the actor’s behavior and raise concerns about his mental well-being.
The Times report also included interviews with cast and crew members from HBO’s Lovecraft Country, where Majors worked. Several individuals recalled instances where Majors’ demeanor would change depending on who he was around, often leading to arguments with women. Female crew members, such as Jessica Pollini and Lisa Zugschwerdt, shared their experiences of feeling threatened by Majors on set, making it difficult for them to perform their jobs.
According to the report, Pollini, Zugschwerdt, and another female crew member submitted a complaint to HBO about Majors. As a result, the actor was told to apologize, but Pollini felt that his apology dismissed the incident as a “misunderstanding.” HBO has not yet responded to The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment.
