New 15-inch MacBook Air Disappoints with Outdated Specs: Apple Launches M2 Max and M2 Ultra Chipsets Instead

Apple is set to launch a 15-inch MacBook Air at next week’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), but many are not impressed and suggest that it is not the cutting-edge laptop its fans hoped for. The new MacBook Air, powered by an M2 chipset, will signal a departure from last year’s release but it has disappointed many as it only offers a larger display for a lot more money, rather than introducing radically new specifications. Apple is expected to introduce two new desk-bound Macs using the latest Apple Silicon chips, the M2 Max and M2 Ultra, but even this is regarded by some pundits as unremarkable. Meanwhile, the company could opt to release a new Mac-focused headset that would attract more media attention.
