Never Met in Real Life, This Lovebird Married via Zoom

LONDON – This lovebird from different countries from the United States (US) and England just got married a few months ago through Zoom . Uniquely, the two of them have only been friends on Facebook and have never met in real life.

The couple who are virtually married are Ayse (26) and Darrin (24). Quotes metro.co.uk, Tuesday (11/16/2021), they met online during the COVID-19 pandemic after connecting in a Facebook group that aims to match individuals from around the world.

Ayse is from the UK, and Daarin is from the US.

The couple got engaged after being matched by Darrin’s mother, Kenda, 56, via a Facebook group after Kenda mentioned that she had a son who was close to Ayse’s age.

Soon, Ayse and Darrin connected online and the couple started texting in July 2020. Since then, they have been inseparable and have been in regular phone contact every night.

“I was just looking for a pen pal to cure boredom in lockdown and didn’t think I would find love,” Ayse said.

“We have a lot in common, including a fear of thunder and lightning, and we both have an owl tattoo with blue eyes.”

“I’m not a flirt, but it just came naturally when I chatted with Darrin – we hit it off right away,” she added.
