Never before have so many infections been added in a day. Yesterday, 76 new cases were added, Thursday 73 and Wednesday 83. The latest counts concern the number of cases from 10 am yesterday to 10 am today.
Figures per municipality
Most new infections come from Terneuzen, 16 in total. Vlissingen and Goes both record twelve new corona infections. Schouwen-Duiveland has one less. Seven new infections were detected in Hulst and Reimerswaal in the past 24 hours. There are six in Veere, five in Kapelle, four in Tholen, three in Borsele and Middelburg, two in Sluis and one in Noord-Beveland.
Nationally, 8141 new infections were detected, which is also a record. There are now 1,568 corona patients in the hospital, 352 of whom are in the ICU. 28 deceased corona patients have been reported to the RIVM. Eighteen more deaths were reported yesterday. In the past seven days, the RIVM registered an average of 24 deaths per day, compared to seventeen deaths per day a week earlier.
