Mainz
At the beginning of the year, the law firms Neussel Martin and KPA (formerly Petereit Armbrüster) merged in Mainz. The new unit, which will operate under the name Neussel KPA, has six partners and around twenty other business lawyers.

Neussel Martin was originally created in Bad Kreuznach and has also been represented in Mainz since 2017. The second namesake next to Dr. Walther Neussel (58) was Dr. Helmut Martin, who, however, had already resigned in the summer of 2020 in order to be able to exercise his offices in Rhineland-Palatinate state politics full-time.
Thanks to the earlier namesake, KPA is best known in banking and capital market law (Karl Otto Armbrüster) and insolvency law (Dr. Wolfgang Petereit). The younger partners Kai Hußmann (51) and Dr. Stefan Roßkopf (46) continues. Both financial law issues and restructuring advice form a very good addition to Neussel’s range of advice, which in addition to corporate law / M & A also includes labor and real estate law, commercial legal protection and a large spectrum of public law.
Mainz market offers new incentives
The state capital Mainz is home to a number of commercial law firms, but in Rhineland-Palatinate it was often at a disadvantage compared to the traditional OLG location in Koblenz. But recently, Bette Westenberger Brink in Mainz was able to take a much-noticed development step by joining forces with the labor law boutique Wetzling & Habel.
There is definitely a need for on-site commercial law advice.
