Neuss. GenießerTreff at the end of January will not take place in the usual form next year
Due to the latest political decisions, in coordination with the organizer Josef Kremer, the “Neuss Christmas Market” originally planned from November 18, 2020 until Christmas on the Freithof is canceled. The Kremer family would have liked to create a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the shadow of the Quirinus Minster. A comprehensive hygiene concept was being discussed. The Christmas market, which has already been largely prepared, has to be canceled with a heavy heart. However, we reserve the right to closely monitor further developments in order to try a smaller format at a later date in some form.
Fortunately, retail has not yet been affected by the “lockdown light”. Therefore, Zukunftsinitiative Neuss eV (ZIN) and Neuss Marketing are still planning their pre-Christmas campaigns. The focus is on the extensive Christmas lighting, which will be officially switched on on November 23, 2020. All activities are always updated under www.neuss-city.de informed.
The “GenießerTreff” originally planned for January in the town hall has also been canceled. Neuss Marketing is currently considering a decentralized solution. All with a view to the then applicable “Corona Protection Ordinance”, of course.
Jürgen Sturm, Managing Director of Neuss Marketing, does not hide his personal displeasure, “that with the culture, the showmen and the event industry, those actors are now affected again who have impressively proven in the past months that they were able to find creative solutions To offer your guests a high level of protection ”.
