Shortly after noon on Thursday, the Winterthur City Police Operations Center received a report that a confused man was walking around the Neumarkt with a knife. When the emergency services arrived, the man left and holed up in an apartment. The task force Diamant of the Zurich cantonal police was finally able to arrest the man without resistance. The 40-year-old Swiss is now receiving medical care.
