The Neuchâtel fools’ guild Rhiischnooge is starting various campaigns to create a carnival feeling despite Corona.
It’s going to be carnival in Markgräflerland, even though there are no events due to Corona. But fools are creative. Result: Decoration competition, fools’ rally and “Fasnet To Go” (see also keyword). And various carnival newspapers. The Neuchâtel fools’ guild D’Rhiischnooge has put together a whole carnival package and is now presenting it in their new guild room.
The Rhiischnooge had actually planned an open-air carnival on the town hall square together with the city for the current campaign. But the number of infections increased, as did the effort for the 2G event, for example, a construction fence would have been necessary and an entrance with control. “That would not have been manageable,” says Mayor Joachim Schuster, and the risk is too great. With a heavy heart, the guild and the city decided to reschedule. It’s only been about two weeks.
