Neuburg: Wrestling with the ministry

If everything goes well, the cinemas in the district can also reopen on Tuesday.

What counts? What am I allowed to do? Who is open? The questions are getting more and more numerous, the displeasure getting louder. It fits perfectly into the picture that even the authorities do not know what to announce and how, because the framework conditions change faster than press releases can be written. So also on the past weekend. The good news is that further steps towards normality could possibly take place on Tuesday.

The Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care (StMGP) surprisingly approved the further opening steps in the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen on Saturday evening. The District Office announced this in a letter to the editors – the third within a day on this matter. According to the authority, the prerequisite for the opening is that the infection rate remains stable below the seven-day incidence of 100. In this case, the outdoor dining, cinemas and theaters can reopen from Tuesday and further relaxation is possible in the sports area.

The district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen fell below the seven-day incidence of 100 for five days in a row on Saturday. Due to the permanently falling number of infections, the district office had submitted a draft for the further opening steps to the higher-level authorities for approval before the weekend, but initially received no feedback, as the press release says.

On Friday night the district office first received a letter from the StMGP in which the waiting period was extended to eight days. District Administrator Peter von der Grn (FW) then contacted the two members of the regional parliament, Roland Weigert (FW) and Matthias Enghuber (CSU), in order to force a solution for the companies concerned. The effort has obviously paid off, because: With a message from Saturday evening, the agreement for the further openings has now been given, so that the district can initiate the necessary general disposal. “The media knew about it again before us, but the result counts. If the incidence remains stable, the farms can now open from Tuesday instead of Thursday – so we have won two days,” said von der Grn quoted in the press release.

If the seven-day incidence remains below 100, the outdoor dining in the district can open from Tuesday, as can theaters and cinemas. In addition, contact-free sports indoors and contact sports outdoors are possible again. However, should the seven-day incidence rise again over the 100 mark in the next few days, the further opening steps must be re-examined. DK
