In this time where social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest may have given us a slightly distorted picture of how idyllic and pretty everything should be, you can experience pressure on what you post and not.
If you open Pinterest or Instagram, you see one picture prettier than the other. People are inspired by each other to take similar pictures, or have the same background, which in turn can lead to places in the world becoming hugely popular due to the possibility of a good picture.
Only in this country, there are several places that have seen an increase in tourism due to good Instagram opportunities.
Huska in the village Trandal on Sunnmøre, Bondhusvatnet in Kvinnherad in Western Norway and Djevelporten with a stone wedge stuck in a rock crevice in Svolvær, are just a small number of places in Norway that have been driven on the Instagram front.
Took wedding photos
Couples who are getting married are also affected by the endless stream of wedding photos that can be found online.
A couple in England have felt on the back of the medal of finding a SoMe-friendly (SoMe = Social media journ.anm.) Place to take their wedding photos.
In July, the couple chose to pose on some train tracks north of Yorkshire to capture their wedding anniversary. The couple was caught by surveillance cameras, and now the railway company Network Rail has criticized the incident.

Not safe
The company has grown tired of people entering places that are not allowed to go. Along with one press release they have posted pictures where people walk on the train tracks.
– The train tracks are neither a suitable nor a safe place to get a nice background to their pictures, no matter how idyllic it may be there. Every time someone moves on the rails, they risk not only their lives, but also ruin for the train companies. Please stay away from the rails, says Alison Evans, of the British Transport Police, in the press release.
– It’s idiotic
In the period June to September, more than 5,000 incidents were registered where people went to the railway without permission. Many of these were for photo shoots with the railway as a background, according to BBC.
Due to the large number of people moving along the train tracks, Network Rail, together with the British Transport Police, has launched a campaign called «You vs. Train ».
Here they want to put the spotlight on how many people are entering areas they are not allowed to be along the railway.
– Wedding photos and selfies on the train tracks are idiotic. Please learn safety around the railroad, and pass it on to those around you. Be a good example to others, says Allan Spence of Network Rail.
