The Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the signing of a 10-day contract with Mike James, the former ULEB Euroleague Moscow CSKA team leader.

It was previously reported that the 30-year-old American could sign a contract before the end of the season, but in the end, Nets decided to try James, offering a 10-day contract. The basketball player received permission from CSKA to play in the NBA until the end of this season. His contract with the Russian Grand is valid until 2023, so after the end of the NBA season, James will be considered a CSKA player again.

Soon after the deal was signed, James went on the NBA field, helping the Nets beat the Boston Celtics by 109:10. The former CSKA basketball player scored eight points, won two balls under the baskets and returned two assists.

James has represented CSKA since 2019 and has been a member of the Sagittarius team for two seasons. He already has NBA experience as a match manager in 2017/18. In the 2007 season, he played a total of 36 games in the ranks of Phoenix “Dog” and New Orleans “Pelicans”, averaging 9.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

This season, he demonstrated a brilliant performance at the ULEB Euroleague, scoring 19.3 points and 5.7 assists in 27 fights, and 14.7 points and 3.9 assists in 14 United League duelings. It should be noted that his playing time in the Euroleague was on average more than 10 minutes longer than in the United League.

Meanwhile, “Nets” with Kevin Durant, Cairo Irving and James Harden is one of the strongest NBA teams this season. It has already been reported that due to health problems, the career was unexpectedly closed by the Nets center Lamarcus Oldridge, which thus vacated one vacancy in the Nets rotation.
