Former player Neto recorded a video on Instagram after discovering that he was sued by the presenter of RedeTV! Sikêra Jr, who seeks compensation of R$44 thousand for having been called homophobic during Os Owners of the Ball. He also asks that the video in which Neto appears calling him for a ‘whack’ be deleted from his social media. The information was published by the ‘TV Pop’ website.
Neto is on vacation with his family and stated that he discovered the process through the press, and that he would not let himself be shaken, stating that he was not homophobic. Neto appears in the video holding a rainbow-colored ball as a way of representing support for LGBTQIA+ causes.
– I wasn’t going to comment anything about the process, because I’m so happy with my family (here on vacation). We are not homophobic, we are family. By the way, this ball represents everything, so that we are not homophobic.

Sikêra also wants a formal retraction request on social networks and on the Band’s schedule for two days in a row.
The Band presenter reacted to the homophobic comment of the presenter Sikêra Jr, made live, on RedeTV, on the International LGBTQIA+ Pride Day. The former player called Sikêra into a fight and questioned his apology after the sponsors of the ‘National Alert’ program started to leave the program.
– We cannot, for example, have this journalist, who is Sikêra Jr. Say what he said about homosexuals, about what Burger King… Congratulations, Burger King. By the way, you broke up. Happy Birthday to You. Then, the other day, the guy apologizes. Do you know why he apologized? Because the sponsors got out of there. Either you think so or you don’t, brother! You are either a man or you are not a man. That it’s no use talking to make money from the government. Is your thinking that? If that’s your thought, I hope you don’t find me. The day you find me, anywhere, you’ll see it,” he said, completing with a threat to the owner of RedeTV, Sikêra’s employer.
