Jakarta – eFootball 2022 flooded with criticism, after its release last Friday (1/10). Fans of the game had high hopes from Konami Digital Entertainment after the company changed its name from PES. But the rebrand has failed as eFootball 2022 quickly became the most hated game on review site Steam 250.
Gamers judged the clunky graphics and lack of realistic, making eFootball 2022 the worst soccer game ever in the genre.
PES game lovers should be disappointed after Konami Digital skipped the 2021 release to focus on relaunching, but it didn’t live up to expectations. While PES is a long-running franchise game that once topped the market and has a huge following.
Around 7,000 eFootball 2022 reviews have been posted on Steam250, with only 1,600 of them positive. Meanwhile, Konami opened its voice to respond to the viral incident. Konami apologizes for the dire launch of eFootball 2022, and promises to make improvements along the way.
The game’s official Twitter social media page stated, “we acknowledge that there have been reports of issues users are experiencing with cut-scenes, facial expressions, player movements and ball behavior.” An update is planned for this month and will work to improve quality, as well as implement bug fixes.
